ITS is dedicated to exploring the intricate relationship between technology and society and understanding the impact of technology on society. We achieve this through our four main programs: Research, Governance, Education, and Awareness.
By combining these four programs, we strive to make a significant contribution to the development of a sustainable and equitable society in the face of rapid technological change.
Good Governance
The Good Governance program aims to promote policies and practices that ensure the responsible development and use of technology. This program will work closely with policymakers,lawmakers, industry leaders, and civil society organizations to develop evidence-based recommendations for regulating emerging technologies and fostering innovation that benefits society. By promoting transparency, accountability, and ethical decision-making, the Good Governance program will help create a more equitable and sustainable future for all
Technology Research
Our Research program is dedicated to investigating the impact of emerging and widely-used technologies on society. We collaborate with external experts to provide original, thought-provoking content on topics related to technology and its interplay with society. The program will conduct interdisciplinary research projects that explore the social, economic, and ethical implications of emerging technologies, we cover a range of topics, such as data protection, information technology, and artificial intelligence, among others. Through our research program, we aim to generate new knowledge that can inform policymaking, industry practices, and public debates about emerging technologies
Education
The Education program aims to equip young individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the complex interplay between technology and society. This program will offer a range of educational resources, including courses, workshops, and training programs, that cover topics such as digital literacy, data privacy, cybersecurity, etc. By promoting critical thinking and digital citizenship among youth, the Education program will empower the next generation to make informed decisions about the technologies they use and shape the future of our society.
Technology Awareness
Our program aims to raise awareness among individuals, public and private organizations about the importance of data protection and the regulatory requirements related to it. Focused on the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we provide participants with detailed information on its principles, applications, and implementation. By increasing citizens’ understanding of their data protection rights and the capabilities of public and private organizations to defend them, we aim to improve overall data protection in the society.
